Tomorrow is the big day. My wife has decided that she will accompany me to Copenhagen, where the masters are played, so she can wipe away my tears of bitter anguish, or in a pinch go topless at the table to distract my opponent!
I've talked a lot about my expectations, and while it would be nice to get a good result, my total lack of experience with my armies make me question that possibility. Instead of being bitter about it (and really, I can't blame anyone but myself anyway), I've decided to just have fun and learn from some great players along the way.
So accepting that, I'm going to have a lot of fun, play a lot of games, and hope my weird-ass armies can confuse my opponents enough to grant me a win or two. I could be lucky and get some easy matches, but my goal remains as it always is at tournaments, to not be last, and win at least one game.
I'm doing the last basing of models today (somehow my basing kit got lost in the "redecoration" of our apartment), but everything is painted and ready to go. After I'm done I'm jumping on a train to Copenhagen, but I'll bring my laptop and give you guys a small update Saturday, after the first couple of rounds (don't expect much though, as I'm probably a wee bit tired).
